Wodcast is a cultural media platform built on the belief that words have the power to shape how we think, connect and understand one another.

Wodcast invites some of the world’s most thoughtful writers, artists, scientists, entrepreneurs and cultural voices to explore the words that have influenced their lives. We have recorded season 1 with nine episodes featuring best-selling novelist Elif Shafak, Oscar-winning lyricist Sir Tim Rice and the one and only Sir Stephen Fry. With only six episodes live we have accumulated +100,000 plays across platforms and have reached 201 countries (datasource: flightcast).

Our co-founder Benjamin Aston started sharing his love for language with a 'word of the day' (WOD) series online, amassing a following of over 1 million on Instagram alone. After he met Mabel Evans, our second co-founder, the WOD evolved into the Wodcast. Together and through this project, they are exploring the power and beauty of words.
